The New Zealand Army!!!

I have been working a lot at the hotel, but we are hanging around waiting for a new Orchard job to come up. When we got to the City today we found the New Zealand Army playing in the street, not exactly the British army style!!! I hope that this video works, if not sorry, they were playing and singing and had electric guitars and drums too!!!

Tauranga

Hello everyone!

Never done a blog before, but I thought it might be easier than trying to email everyone all the time!

At the moment I am living and working in Tauranga in the Bay of plenty. It is very pretty here when the sun is shining, like today! I have been doing lots of different jobs here, I worked in a horrible kiwi packhouse for a while, it was pretty cold and dark in there, but I am now working out in the open in an orchard. I have been spraying pollen onto the kiwi fruit flowers which means I go home looking like an umpalumpa because there is red colouring in the spray that goes all over you!!! I have also been working in a hotel behind the bar. Everyone there is lovely and my boss has invited me to stay with her family for christmas, so nice!

I am living in a really nice hostel that is more like a houseshare than a hostel and I have made three really good friends who are also living with me. I will try to put some photos on soon. I'm sure everything is getting nice and christmassy at home. pretty weird here as it is getting hot, christmas decorations look like a joke here!!
